Waking to workdays of writing means my routine is filled with a fair share of exclamation points.

How fortunate I consider myself to be able to swirl sentences, ask questions of everyone from a designer of Alaskan Spirit Dancers to a former professional football player, and share my discoveries with readers.

Having worked as an iCan.com content producer since 1999, and then as editor-in-chief for the leading online community for people with disabilities, their families and friends, these roles have enabled me to make the most of my own experiences from my wheelchair. I have presented my weekly UpBeat column online as well as an assortment of profiles, news stories, quizzes and reviews. These assignments not only keep me rolling literally, but they also reaffirm a statement made by legendary journalist Nellie Bly that I wholeheartedly believe: "Energy rightly applied can accomplish anything."

Since I graduated summa cum laude from Oakland University in 1997, I have turned out columns for newspapers and magazines, assembled Web sites, created publicity materials, written an award-winning grant and developed educational activities for publishing company McGraw-Hill.

If my knowledge of producing content for the Web world and other publications could help you expand your expertise, please tap into my strengths.

Muscle may be a matter where I fall short, but the vitality I feel when I bring my lines to life gives me exuberance to dot every exclamation point I make with GUSTO!
